We participated in the FEMNET—African Women’s Development and Communication Network Programming Conference and General Assembly (PCGA) this past weekend in Nairobi, Kenya, a powerful gathering of feminists, activists, and change-makers under the theme “Solidarity, Power & Futures.”

As proud affiliates, we are deeply grateful to FEMNET for recognizing women with disabilities and meaningfully including us as equal partners in shaping the feminist agenda.
The conference was a bold affirmation that our voices matter, our leadership is essential, and our experiences are integral to Africa’s feminist movement.

We celebrate FEMNET’s commitment to cross-movement solidarity and their deliberate effort to ensure that women with disabilities are not left behind. Together, we continue to dismantle barriers, reimagine inclusive futures, and build a continent where all women and girls, in all their diversity, thrive.
